Central nodes can appear connected to everything because of visibility rather than genuine influence. Distribution shift creates another failure: a model trained on yesterday’s network may miss new rules, actors, or incentives. The remedy is comparison across methods, calibrated uncertainty, domain checks, and inspection of false positives.
