The study used home visits, background information, semistructured interviews, and thematic analysis to examine technology supporting daily living, health, safety, mobility, communication, activity, development, and leisure. Its design rejects a purely feature-based account of adoption: personal thoughts, social networks, living challenges, and available behavioural options all matter. Although the sample is specific and qualitative rather than representative, it offers a strong warning against declaring any personal tool universally superior.
