The official Warren Commission concluded that Lee Harvey Oswald acted completely alone in killing President Kennedy.

In 1964, a special government group called the Warren Commission looked into the murder. They decided that Lee Harvey Oswald fired three shots from a sixth-floor window of the Texas School Book Depository. They said he acted alone. No one helped him. Case closed, or so they hoped. But Oswald was shot dead just two days later by a man named Jack Ruby. Because of this, Oswald never stood trial, and the public never got to hear his side of the story.
