In 2010, Roc released his solo debut album, Marcberg. He produced almost the entire project himself. Instead of using traditional heavy drums, he relied on atmospheric, looped samples. This minimalist production style created a moody, claustrophobic sound that redefined underground hip-hop. His approach proved that rap did not need loud percussion to be powerful. This style became a template. Dozens of modern underground artists now use this exact formula for their own music.
