The Royal Selangor Golf Club was founded in 1893 and remains one of the oldest active sporting institutions in Asia.

In 1893, British administrators established what would become the Royal Selangor Golf Club in Kuala Lumpur. Unlike its older counterpart in Taiping, this prestigious institution survived the tumultuous decades of the twentieth century. It remains fully active today. Now nestled in the heart of a bustling metropolis, it serves as a living bridge to Malaysia's colonial past. It is widely recognized as the fourth oldest golf club on the entire Asian continent.
