Nuts like almonds and peanuts are packed with arginine but have very little of another block called lysine. Lysine is the good guy here because it blocks arginine and stops the virus from growing. Peanuts, for example, have five times more arginine than lysine. This terrible balance makes nuts one of the biggest food triggers for people living with the virus.
